Hi,

I'm testing the vmware image of pandora 3.1. I've got discovery working, setup hosts, etc, all good. I now wanted to setup a module template sans SNMP for network scans. I created the template "whatever" via Manage Modules -> Module Templates -> create. The system responds: "Successfully added network profile" and "No modules for this profile". I didn't ask to create a network profile - I thought I was creating a module template.

Anyway, I then add a module from the list below, say host alive (ICMP) and this appears in a table under the template name/comments fields - so far so good. I then click on update to save the module in the template and it returns: "ERROR UPDATING NETWORK PROFILE". Yet if I go back to the Manage Modules -> Module Templates, that new template is there with added module. What is going on???

thanks.

I can answer the error part myself - when adding modules to module templates, it just adds them, no update required. The update appears to only be required for name/description changes. A bit disconcerting, though.

I think you are right, there is no reason to show an "Error updating network profile" error there. I'll open the bug. Thank you for the feedback.

Thank you. I'm just setting up a monitor and am coming across several of these sorts of issues. Should I just log a bug or is this forum the best "forum"?

It would be really helpful if you could open the bug in the project's bug tracker :-) http://sourceforge.net/projects/pandora/
