i've installed the debian packages and the required dependencies.  When using the "installation wizard", i've got through to step 4.

all the "checks" on step 4 are green, the red warning about saving the random password is displayed.  all seems to work fine until i get past the following check:

Created new config file at 'include/config.php'  [green dot]

Then this is displayed:

There were some problems. Installation was not completed.

Please correct failures before trying again. All database schemes created in this step have been dropped.


I've checked the syslog and the logs under /var/log/pandora.  nothing jumps out as being useful in the syslog and nothing seems to get written to the pandora logs.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

solved.

the mysql account I was using didn't have the same priviledges as root.  change the db login information to my root account and I was able to complete the wizard.

gotta love new users some times. :)
